    Correct C-3 Tires

What are the correct tires for my '71 LT-1? I know the Judging Manual says Speedway Wide Treads or Wide Ovals... both available but expensive...correct size radials are also mentioned. Which tires are going to cause the greatest point deduction?

Radials of a brand name other than Firestone or Goodyear.

Now that you can search the archives - or even recent posts - this was just discussed last week.

Greatest point deduction?? Probably some drag slicks, or maybe mud bog tires .. Something like that ought to get you the maximum point deduction.

The repo tire that will lose the minimum amout of points is the Kelsey Goodyear. The (C)oker's will lose points on construction, tread, and nomenclature on the sidewalls

Thanks I thought you couldn't name brands but it let Goodyear go. What word is that close to***er.

I would think a word that refers to a male chicken.

                How about diet ***e (i.e. diet C o k e)? Will this get filtered?

                Let's see...

                Yes, it does.

No, it's not brand names; it's scrubbing up our language...the problem is, I'm not sure which language it's cleaning.

Let's see...insert another "c" before the k, and that would make sense. In one of my posts, it asteriked the four letters S-P-A-C embedded in the the word s-p-a-c-e (Hunnnh?!, An ethnic slur for an hispanic? ); and, then, lets the word ASS (see your signature ) skate right through.

I think it permits the use of ass, because in some countries, it's common usage for a burro or donkey...colloquial use in the US means something completely different.
