Re: Membership Card+ Coming Events - GOLD STAR
That's the easy one.
Ya got a long enough signature there? I'm going to have to get a bigger monitor to read threads when you post - takes up half my screen.
Patrick
PS - 71 L-48s are 270 hp; in 72 L-48s are 200hp and the LT-1s are 270hp. Which do you have?! Thanks for catching the typo,(really hoping for closer to 350hp) and smaller sig.

Re: Membership Card+ Coming Events
Well Joe, I was at the first NCRS meet at Wapakoneta, Ohio. In some of the pictures you can see my white on red '62. I didn't join though until later. Yes, of course I have all my Restorers, but I didn't keep all the Drivelines. Actually, I threw a BUNCH of them in the trash about 20yrs. ago, decided to make the wife happy and clean up my "stuff". Not sure what a complete stack is worth now, but more than what I got for them, I am sure. Heck I don't remember voting, but I also have a bad case of CRS. I sure remember the 1st meet though. I talked to many of the founders at the time, though I am sure as a 21yr.old kid at the time, they wouldn't remember me. I talked to Joe Pike, Becky Bodner (sp?), Sam Foltz, Jay Kellog (sp?),Gary Mortimer, John Angwert and others that I can't remember their names in a hurry right now. Of course this is right after the NCRS was kind of replacing the '53-'55 regestry.- Top

I think he's been having a little fun at our expense, or he's just paid to have his old number pulled out and dusted off!- Top

Re: Membership Card+ Coming Events
Before that, when members departed, their membership numbers were "retired" and not reused. If a member wanted to rejoin after 20 years absence, even if they were charter members, they were faced with being assigned a "newbie" member number.
Policy was changed so their old numbers could be brought out of "retirement" and reassigned to them. But...rejoining is the only way to get a low member number...you can't pick an unused one and "buy" it.- Top

Re: Membership Card+ Coming Events
I know nothing (well really not much) either.
I do know that a while back if one was signing up after a gap in membership one had to ask for the old number back. Cincinnati didn't routinely search for an old membership. I can't speak to the current situation regarding that issue.Terry- Top
