I found pictures of the two 68 door panel styles compared in Dobbins' Fact Book of the 1968-1972 Stingray, Fourth Edition, page 43. However, the photo quality in my copy is poor...the horizontal door pull handle is visible on the later panel, but the molded integral door pull on the same panel is very hard to see.
Chuck, if you don't have this book, it will prove useful for these kinds of questions on your 68. Dobbins takes each 68-72 model year and contrasts and identifies features and changes. In a few cases, there are non-original changes shown in the photos as original, so verification will be a good idea, but the it's still valuable as a reference. -
