    69 alternator #

I looked at a 69 350/300 today and it should have an alternator part# 1100859 on it. It has a #1100882 and NS on it which is for a 427. Could this mix up have been at the factory? The car has 28 k on it which I believe to be actual. Most everything is correct except for the carb and air cleaner. Tom

Tom, anything is possible. I will look at my Delco Remey parts book tonight to see what the material differences were. If they had the same pulley backspacing there is no reason it would not work. I am not sure of the differences in the clocking of the backs though and the DR book does not get into that

Someone needing the 882 alternator for their L88 or a 427/435 would give more than a fair price for this alternator.

If the car has C-60 I'd say it's possibly original. Without C-60 I'd say it's much less likely.
