    My 65 has no spare What size wheel and tire should I get and where can I get it

    The factory original spare was identical to the four mounted wheels (in '65 the base car had steel wheels with the option of KH KO wheels, so it's not possible to specifically answer WHICH wheel your car should have as a spare).

    Then on the spare tire, the factory originally matched tires in sets of five according to mfgr/brand. BUT, the NCRS judging policy specifically ignores the requirement for the spare tire to match the four mounted tires. Why?

    This is to preserve history. Often, an old classic car can have a relatively unused factory original spare tire + wheel. Why force owners to 'discard' real McCoy original tires/wheels just to make the car's configuration perfectly match how it shipped from the factory.

    So, in your case you have no spare tire/wheel to 'preserve'. Therefore, you should attempt to make the spare match your four mounted wheels/tires....
