    Re: 1970 TO 72 LT-1'S

I have those pictures in a book. Great shots. In 1987, I was looking for a 1969 convertible and came across a '70 with perfect options for me (350/350, 4 speed, 2 tops, Red/Red, Tilt/Tele, PB, PS) and purchsed it. 21 years later, I'm so glad I ended up with the '70 that's more rare than a 1969.

i have 2 of them. i have a 70 lt1 convertible i am doing a frame off to show and a 72 lt1 convertible i am doing a frame on to drive. i like them because its the first car i owned. i had a red/ black 72 lt1 in high school. i have wanted another one ever since i destroyed that one. i have a bad habbit of over doing cars to the point i an scared to drive them. that is why i am doing 2 of them. the bumper cars are the next big thing. get one while you can. i sold my 57 fuelie to do this 2 car project... and because someone offered too much money to turn down.

            THANKS GUYS
I thought for all these years I was the only 70-72 Corvette nut & especially the 70 for all the reasons stated. I have 3 all 1970. MAROON LT-1 COUPE & CONV and a 454 BRONZE All options Conv. Also it seems like we can't have just 1.

my first vette as a 21 yr old kid was a 70 350/350 in 1978. i will always love the 70-72 C3's. i now have a 66 L72 conv but will never forget the ride comfort and view out the windshield over those great fender bulges. if i sell my 66 (my 2nd one) i will go back to an early c3 with out hesitation. mid years and parts are getting too rich and takes alot of fun out of the hobby. i feel bumpered c3's have a very bright future that is long over due

I love all Corvettes, particularly the C-1s through the C-3s. My first Corvette was a red '78. It was okay but I sold it and began researching chrome bumper C-3s finally settling on a maroon small block '70 convertible. It went away and I purchased a green '70 LS-5 convertible with a lot options including AC and factory shoulder harnesses. I absolutely love the 1970-1972 Corvettes. I love the body lines of the C-3s. As several people have said to me, the C-3s look like what they think a Corvette should represent as a Corvette.
