Please help. I am restoring the fram on my early Nov. 62 - 63 Coupe. The lower control arms are in question. I have one that is rectangular with the center hollowed out like a dugout canoe (or if you cut it in half it would be an I beam). GM part number 3738505. The other on is round. Please let me know what is correct for my car. Thanks. Henry

Henry-----
I believe that both style lower a-arm shafts were used. As a matter of fact, both styles even had the same GM forging number and the same GM part number. There are known cases of cars that had BOTH styles-----one of each. Yours may very well be one of them.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Joe, thanks for your help. I have seen this on three cars at the ChevyVette fest. I am surprised that there were that many that had two different styles. Thanks again. HenryHenry Atsma
