In Volume 32 #3 (Winter 2006) of the Corvette Restorer Magazine there is an article regarding the bootleg reprints of the first three issues. These were definitely not produced or authorized by NCRS and a method for identifying the counterfit issues is described in the article. Regards,

Corvette News 1:1 is the only one that has been reproduced. They're on ebay all the time at $69.99 1:2 and up are much more expensive than that, as are originals of 1:1.
Arland is on the money--early Restorers (1:1,2,3) were reproduced some time in the 80's. Even those are very difficult to find, and not inexpensive.

Arland, Hard to believe a Corvette guy would sell bootleg stuff. Thanks for the update. As we get old you practically need one room just to hold all these old mags. I have boxes of them going to our armed service guys. John D.

John,man I don't know maybe it was the "Restore". This is the reason I post on the Discussion board so you smart guys can keep me straight. Thanks for the help. One way I have tried ot isolate my self from making bad decsions is to buy ones that do show some wear to the untrained eye. I bought this one and it was very nice and it made me question my decision. I still need Volume 1 number 2 and Voume 2 number 4 and I will be through. Keith

Arland,you and John may have turned the bulb on in my head that it was the "Restorer" not "Corvette News". Next question was there ever a time frame that GM did not publish a "Corvette News" or "Quarterly"? As yu guys can tell I am trying to put a collection together and it appears I am loosing my memory on this subject. This is something I have been working on for 20-30 years and now with the internet it opens up avenues to acquire these issue we guys that don't travel to all the meets that you guys do. I am doing the same thing with Corvette ads starting in 53 and kind of tappering off around 72. Thanks again. Keith.
