    58-67 Oil Filter Cannister

The JG says the oil filter cannister on a '62 is painted "semi-gloss black."

What paints have people used with which they're satisfied? Any recommendations as to brand and part number?

That's why I ask. All the ones I too have seen have had pretty glossy black paint. So when I saw "semi-gloss" in the JG, I was puzzled. What do they mean by "semi-gloss"? How glossy is "semi-gloss"? I would assume it's something less glossy than "gloss."

Then that line of thinking led me to pondering the differences between gloss, semi-gloss, low gloss, semi-flat, and flat.

(Then I starting wondering about how many angels could dance on the head of a pin. But that's for another board.)

Each judge is different ,I've seen many judges looking at the same part having a different opinion . One OK's a part , later another one said no. One meet you get a 95 point ,next meet a 97. It all come down to different meets and judges.
That goes for any event or judge and any year Corvette.
