Per John D's request and for those of you that may not otherwise know, GM has brought back Engine Oil Supplement (EOS). It's quite rare that GM brings something back after it's been discontinued, but they have done so for EOS. It has a new part number, though, and that's GM #88862586.

Re: EOS Available Again
Duke, I was thinking the same thing. I mean if it was the same deal why didn't they just use the same part number??? John D.
Joe L. Thanks very much. When you mentioned the EOS before it was buried a mile down the page. John D.- Top

Re: EOS Available Again
I also have concerns about possible reformulation etc. of EOS being reintroduced. Is it still the same Zinc rich product sold previously?
Can anyone out there with "connections" find out for us?
Thanks in advance,

Re: EOS Available Again
John-----
When GM "brings a part back", they almost always, if not always, use a new part number. The system just doesn't work well for "re-instituting" a part number that's been discontinued.
I have no reason to believe that the formulation is different. It might even be an improved formula. I do note that this stuff GM lists for about $15 a pint.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
