I have heard that, at some point, GM stopped supplying SB (non-AC/non-FI) core supports, and started supplying only the FI core supports for use on both FI and non-FI SB cars. Anyone know when GM started doing this? Thx

The problem with the over the counter fuely core supports is that they are missing the tabs on the lower part of the "X" bracing. Attached is a picture of my '65 fuely support, with the tabs. IMG_20130607_165005_676.jpg- Top

Roland,
I can't speak to GM but Coffman Corvette still manufactures the '64-'65 non-FI, non-A/C radiator core support.

The saddles are available from CC.
Just stick them on with a little JB Weld.
