1111024 Distributor Identification

Is there any way (other than the band which can be repro'd) to identify a 1111024 distributor? Application is for 1963 340HP.

There's no absolutely, positive way I know of. Two key signs, though, would be the installed vacuum control (should be 1116201 if original to the distributor) and the autocam brazed to the top of the mainshaft. There is a code stamped into the autocam but, unfortunately, I do not know what it is for the 1111024 distributor.

One other thing to keep in mind: just about any tach drive distributor could be configured to be a duplicate of the original 1111024 if one has the correct components. With all of the correct components, it would be indistinguishable from an original 1111024.

Fred, the weights should be stamped 37, the autocam should be stamped 54 and the vacuum advance should be stamped 201-15.

I'm pretty sure the centrifugal advance specs are 0@700 24*@4600.
