I'm in a dilemma that I'm sure someone or many of you can easily resolve. After a recent engine, transmission and clutch rebuild the reassembly begins. But first we're going to freshen up the engine bay and replace/rebuild any suspension and/or steering components that are necessary. Now for my dilemma. On page 189 of the TIMJG 7th edition, it states the knuckles, spindles, arms and brake assemblies were assembled as a unit and painted chassis black. Right below that, it states the steering knuckle (spindle and strut) is a natural color. So, I'm a bit confused. What parts are black and what parts are natural? The 6th edition states the same. However, the 5th edition does not state "these items were assembled as a unit and painted chassis black....."
