14" open air cleaner lid silk screening

I have two lids one with curved instructions and the other straight. Which one is correct for a 65-67.

I was thinking that the curved was correct for 67. I don't think I ever saw a straight version of the silk screening but I haven't read every year judging manual either

Part way thru 1969 thru 1972 had the straight, not curved, silk screen text.

The silk screening on my Oct 68 car is straight. So the change from curved must have been very early in the 69 MY.

I have no desire to turn this thread into a C3 subject, but for those looking in the future:
The current 1968-69 TIM&JG, the 6th Edition, says simply 1968 open element single carburetor lid silk screen is straight and 1969 is curved. There is no specific mention that it changed at the model year of in later 1968 or early 1969. All of which meant the Judging Manual team has no specific information regarding the exact point of change.

                Terry,
Sorry to contradict on this, but I believe you have that backwards. On page `120:
"In 1968s with Rochester -equipped engines, the printing is curved to match the air cleaner curvature while in 1969 the printing is in straight lines." Fig M 4.15 illustrates an 1969.

You are right Jeff. And I proofed my post as well and completely missed it. I will try to edit it if I can.

Time was up. I can't edit my post.

                  Thank you for the correction.
