c2 headlight bucket

I am restoring a 1963 coupe and I would like to know if anyone has run into this issue before. My cars build date is May 31 and while removing the headlight buckets I found that the left was fiberglass and the right was pot metal. I have read that GM had changed to the new design (pot metal) in late production 1963. Could it be possible that this car was built with one of each or should I be looking for another bucket?

David, best I can recall, it was possible for VIN’s over 21000 might have a pot metal bucket. Best case scenario, I think your bucket was damaged and replaced.
