On page 151 of the new 63-64 technical Information and Judging Guide it states that all engines except the L76 air conditioned models use an idler assembly. So, if the car has power steering it will need the ad on pulley on the crank? This is for a 64 L-75 engine.

I meant to question if the idler pulley statement is correct in the judging guide. I thought only the high horse engines used the idler pulley.

Howard. The 7th Edition Paragraph Heading says 1963 + 1964 L76 + L84 Engines Only. Yes That First Line Is Confusing. I Believe The 8th Edition Corrected That

For 1963-64 the L-76 and L-84 were the only engines equipped with an idler pulley. It was an assembly of GM #3829191.

Thanks Joe and everyone for your responses. I have the eighth edition and this is what it states unless I am reading it wrong.
