    Clutch question/recommendation

I have been using LUK clutch kits with an all steel National throughout bearing for small blocks.

I'm helping a friend with his L36 and looking at Rockauto it looks like the correct LUK clutch kit is the 11" for the 427 and is part number 04049.

Am I OK with the LUK kit?

That's what I put in my '67 L-36 back in August - also purchased from RA. I replaced the LUK plastic bodied throw-out with a BCA NB614018 (~$16), which is a part of NTN bearing company, and the kit's pilot bearing (magnetic) with a bronze one from RAM (Summit, ~$7).

The LUK's only gotten about 75 miles, but it's shifting well and seems good to go.

Free Shipping - RAM Pilot Bushings with qualifying orders of $109. Shop Pilot Bearings and Bushings at Summit Racing.
