For me, it is the most disappointing tool I have ever purchased. Waited a long time to buy one due to the cost and finally pulled the trigger for my birthday one year. Ive tried it on many different applications with little to no success. I have much better success with different rivet anvil tools (some are Pexto)I have purchased over the years for different sized rivet heads.

    YMMV

      John,
I have the Aero Rivet tool and it actually worked great for me. It is meant for specific applications, however. It’s advertised for the vent window trim on a C2. I don’t know how you could set those rivets with the tool. I also used it to refurbish my heater box and the manual ventilation flappers. Unfortunately, as is your case, I don’t believe the Aero Rivet tool will work to repair that grill bracket, as you need a lot of space (full access) to utilize the tool. It would be difficult to operate in that cramped location, if you could even get the tool in there. I just went to the garage and checked. The tool would not work for that application, even with the grill removed from the car. I have a 64 convertible. Don’t give up!

      Regards
      John

Aero rivet tool can be used for a small subset of vette rivets where you can get it around to both sides of the rivet. anything underbody is....forgetaboudit
