    63-67 Door Lock Knob Rod

I lost the door lock knob rod and purchased a new one. The supplier parts are always pretty accurate. The replacement rod I received is about 3/4" too long and the end with the 90 deg. turn is not in the correct.orientation. This could easily be fixed by putting in a vise and turning but the rod would need to be cut and welded/brazed back together which also could be done. Has anyone run into this and have a suggestion?

          Walter,

Which rod are you trying to replace? The one that attaches to the pawl on the back side of the key lock, shown as #7 in the 1st photo?

Or the rod that attaches to the unlock knob on the inside of the door, #7 in the 2nd photo?

          Gary

              Walter,

Then you should have bought the rod in the 2nd photo that Leif posted. Not the rod in his 1st photo. And remember, the rod you want comes in LH or RH versions.
