    1959 Blower Motor

I cannot get my heater blower motor to work both on low and high. I replaced the switch with a new one from CC no change. Any thoughts?

Take it apart, they are rebuildable. Clean the armature, get new brushes, not rocket science. But once you have it out I would hook it up directly to a good battery and see if it is indeed dead or a wiring issue.

      Check the fan speed resistor(s)

        Jeff,

Presuming that C1 blower motors (which admittedly I know nothing about) work like C2 ones, then the speeds are controlled by an external set of resistors that control the voltage and power to the motor. In my experience with C2 blower motors, if the motor bearings are gummed up, the motor has a hard time working on the lowest speed. If your blower motor works on the low and high speeds, it suggests to me (as Cecil also suggests) that the issue is with the resistors. And not with the motor per se. Before I would take apart the motor, I would definitely confirm that the resistors are all functional.
