I have had 3 over the years, and I don't think anyone was interested in that many, 1325, in a fairly non-distinct year.Big Tanks In the High Mountains of New Mexico- Top

Not unappreciated by me, I have had 4 and loved them and consider them the best C2 overall and the best bargain. But all you need do is look at the prices of those vs. the other C2s and at how many come to NCRS meets and you can see the general appreciation of them by the masses.Big Tanks In the High Mountains of New Mexico- Top

I put 50K miles on my 63 Coupe, went coast to coast etc. Have owned 3 64 Coupes which are basically a refined 63 and MUCH nicer to drive in. They are a great car and best bang for your buck.

Here is what the automotive magazines said at the time:
"The 1964 Corvette was an improved version of the 1963, featuring a one-piece rear window (replacing the popular but impractical split window), increased engine horsepower with a new Holley carburetor for the 327 engine, and the replacement of older transmissions with more durable "Muncie" four-speeds. Additionally, Chevrolet incorporated more sound insulation and revised body mounts for reduced noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH), making the 1964 a more comfortable and refined car for everyday driving."Big Tanks In the High Mountains of New Mexico- Top

Hi Mark, 64 interior sound level much quieter than the 63, suspension felt more comfortable to ride in, engine has more power, muncie trans very smooth operating, I can use my rear view mirror and see cops behind me, they are a very good car, have put 38K on my 64 FI Coupe so far. 63s are very special, just don't think I would feel comfortable driving all over in one again.

Even though I don’t own a ‘64, I prepared a ‘64 Coupe 327/365 with A/C that went on to be a Duntov car. Every time I took that car out for shake down runs the more I enjoyed that car. The 327/365 were only made in ‘64 and ‘65 and adding A/C to order you had comfort plus performance. Not until 1972 you could get a LT1 with A/C though the horsepower was a lot less..- Top

You all forgot that 64 also received a Revised shifter and Revised steering column. 2 major items making for a better driving experience.
We could also do a full seminar of all the changes from 1963 to 1964. That 64 model was much improved over the 63 model. If the 63 coupe did not have a split rear window, then 63 would be the least attractive, or appreciated of the C2 run.👍 1- Top
