    Securing Seating Back - 1960

    I discovered after 36 years of ownership that I have never secured my back seat cushions, specifically the 2 tabs that secure the bottom of the back seat cushion.

    I have been unable to bend the tabs forward to "lock" the bottom. When I pull the tabs forward, the bottom of the back cushion moves forward as well.

    Any tips for completing this task.

          No, I don't have a back seat. seat back cushion.

              Joe,

              If I recall...

              Typical method is to bend the tab forward/flat before the backrest goes in.

              Then bend the tab upward and rearward over the top of the U shaped frame piece.

              In yours, just lift the bottom of the backrest forward and bend the tabs down, then back up and rearward.
