What is the highest mileage Top Flight Car?

Curiosity got the best of me and I was wondering what’s the highest mileage car to get a Top Flight award so far?

That would be a hard question to answer since mileage is not recorded.

That’s true, but people could comment with mileage on their car when they got their Top Flight. Like I got my Top Flight award this past April with 129,030 miles on the car.

My 57 250 powerglide Duntov vet had 252000 miles on it when I bought it in 1970 for 450 frogskins. Our old 61 rpo fi had 230000 miles on it when I bought it. It too suctioned after I restored it. Mike

I bought a '67 coupe from the original owner in 2010. I have driven it to over 50 events. If memory serves me right, it has 4 Top Flights, 2 second and 47 or 48 Sportsman awards. Trying to get to 50 this year. It is pushing 260,000 documented miles. The car and all of the NCRS events have been a GREAT adventure for the last 12 years. In 2017 it was considered a Bowtie Candidate.
The coolest is I drove it across to Palms Spring where with the mileage points got Top Flight. (Had it trailered back home)
When I drove it to Vegas a few years ago, there was a video produced at the Nationals. (Google 243,000 Corvette)
Thank you, Rich and the SE Chapter, for all of your support.

I can't top the miles on Mike's car, but I had a '67 at the Nationals in 2017 with 175,000 miles. It was an original paint Survivor car, also.

That’s amazing James! It’s so cool it’s documented as well with that mileage. I’m hoping to get my 90 to that high mileage in the future and that involved in the NCRS scene. I just started last year and have one Top Flight and are planning for my chapter and national flight awards over the next year (this September and Charleston next July). I’m only 28 so I have a long time and a long ways to go.

You're the future of this club Josh.. Infect some of your Corvette buddies with that passion, and keep this club going! In 25 years you'll be the "old timer" with a 90 with dozens of NCRS awards and half million miles!

I am definitely trying to keep it going by bringing up new ideas like the yearly calendar. I have invited people at shows and other local events to look into the club through talking about my experience with NCRS and ways the club is trying to broaden the cars that are allowed.
