    speedometer cable

    Hey Guys, anyone know where i can get NOS speedometer cable for a 4 speed 58 fuel car. I Ordered one from corvette central doesn't work. i suspect it was made in China. I need one with a steel cable. appreciate your help.

    have you tried ebay? I got one for my 69 on there this year. you might need to be watchful and patient for one to show up though.

        Bruce,

        I have had 2 recent experiences with reproduction cables. Both instances, the inner drive cable was too short to properly engage on both ends. You can either make one that is available from the local parts stores, or use the vendor Leif had suggested. Do you have the original casing and is it reusable?

          My P & A catalogs reference a length of 68 5/8" for speedo cable if you have the original casing.
