Transmission Date Codes 1954 Corvette
Looking for information on dates codes for a 54 Corvette

For the 54 Corvette the Id Number is a “C” for Cleveland. Followed by a 1 or 2 digits indicating the month of production January (1) to December (12). Followed by two digits representing the day of month and a “D” for day shift or an “N” for night shift. I not certain but I think the part number is on the top of the transmission covered by the transmission tunnel.Henry Atsma

Thank you. I found C244 but can't make out a D or N. Could I have found the correct trans cast number?
The engine was cast 12 8 53 and it is an early 54 car.
The Trans is a rebuilt with very little use but needs a reverse band adjustment.
I was looking at it and don't see a way to adjust the band while tranny is in the car because removal of the side cover is needed.
What are your thoughts on this !!
Some one worked on this car and messed up the wiring taking hours to correct it. Done correcting the wiring at last
