Is there anyone, that others have used, that can refurbish a Console Top Plate ? Plate is in good shape with minor missing paint. After doing a complete frame off, just hate to reinstall as is. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Did you do the restoration, or have it done?
The reason I ask is that it’s very easy to restore these. Strip, use tape as needed for masking, SEM Trim Black for paint, and a bit of lacquer thinner on a rag for final cleaning of the edges.Vice-Chairman (West), Michigan Chapter NCRS

Thanks for the reply. Yes I did the restoration. The console plate has some pits in the chrome. Looks like it also needs to be replated and then painted. Should be no problem to do. Just need a chrome plater that will spend the time! Probably cheaper to buy a repo, Hate to do that. In for a penny, in for a pound at this time ! Thanks again, Steve- Top

They are not expensive to buy in better condition even if you have to repaint them.Vice-Chairman (West), Michigan Chapter NCRS
