Have a 66 with4 spd. The reverse lockout rod was missing when I got the car. It's a bit hard to get into reverse sometimes, but doable. Is this something that is really needed or is it ok to just leave it as is? Shifts fine otherwise. I have the rod (bought from Corvette central) but tried to put it in and it does not go down far enough to got the ball back on.
