    Dave Kitch

I’m posting news that’s heavy for our PTSC family—Dave Kitch has died.

Last weekend, Dave experienced a traumatic fall that left him paralyzed and in intensive care. So many of us held onto hope in the days that followed, but sadly, Dave passed away earlier today.

Dave was a spirited and unforgettable part of our entire community. His impact was personal and lasting.

We don’t yet have funeral details to share, but we’ll post updates as they come. In the meantime, we hold Bridget and the rest of their family in our hearts and invite you to do the same.

-Brooke Madeira, on behalf of the Pittsburgh Tri-State Chapter

Dave was responsible for me getting into the Corvette hobby through an acquaintance who had a 1977 for sale. We were both members of the Western Pennsylvania Corvette Club. I got him to join NCRS as a resource for learning more about the cars. We worked together at the nuclear power division of Westinghouse. A good friend I will miss.

As the newsletter editor for the Pittsburgh Tri State Chapter I could always count on Dave to provide a tech article when I needed one. One thing we all knew about Dave, was that he actually worked on all his Corvettes, and enjoyed doing so. I've attached one of Dave's favorite photos. A younger Dave on the right with Zora Duntov about 20-30 years ago on the Gateway Clipper in Pittsburgh, during the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix back then. Let's all keep Bridget and his family in our thoughts and prayers.

I met Dave just this past May 17th at the MAC chapter judging meet in Front Royal , VA. Together we judged the interior of a very original 1967 Coupe. This was very surprising to me. Rest easy, Dave.
