Guys,
I’m restoring a set of PO2 wheel covers for an upcoming judging event for my recently restored 69. I need to repaint them and looking for advice on the easiest way to repaint them. When I restored the center caps for my rally wheels I painted the cap and then Removed the black paint from the ridges with some lacquer thinner. I’m wondering if that’s the best way to do the wheel covers. I’ve seen previous posts where guys have instead extensively taped off all the unpainted surfaces but that’s obviously a ton more work. Has anyone used the paint removal technique that I described for the wheel covers?
Mike
