I wonder what that means by (...implementing AI...) and/or how he's doing that ?

I use AI myself and find it amazing at times; but although it is definitely a tool in the larger tool box of knowing how to search for things, AI is not always reliable.

I ran across an AI error doing a very simple calculation on the volume of a cylinder ! It came back 10x too hi...I reported it, but have no idea where that report goes or what anybody does about it. it's probably reported back to an AI-BOT...

And this debacle is an example of AI fallibilities; cascading into data destruction when used as a a coding assistant (thx, Gary C.)
As with many things - caveat emptor.

I don’t pretend to understand how all this works.
Jonathon is CEO of a software company (I think that is correct)
He just told me that you need to have the data base and then give the program the data and that over time it will become more and more accurate.
He has been collecting for at least ~25 years engine pad stamping, trim tags, POPs, tank stickers and any other documents.

When I had him validate my 1968 L89, he had L89 cars in his registry that were very close to mine before and after my vin.
Mine had some unusual stampings and date stuff going on but after looking at cars that were very close to mine, they all had the same date and stamp characteristics which were pointed out to me by Jonathan.

Thanks for the kind words, Joe, I really appreciate it.

Mark, I wanted to share a few more insights that might be helpful. Over the years, I’ve built an extensive database of VIN tags, trim tags, engine and transmission stampings, and factory documentation. For those of you who know me, you know I have a deep passion for these cars and the history behind how they were built at the St. Louis plant.

In addition to running the L89 and L88 Registries (where I provide validation certificates to owners) I also have a side business that helps people verify the authenticity of their 1968–1972 Corvettes. My goal is simple: to bring clarity to what can sometimes be a confusing hobby, especially with all the reproduction tags, documents, and stampings floating around.

Over the past three years, I’ve been developing custom software that uses AI and machine learning to analyze the same attributes I look for when evaluating whether a component or piece of paperwork reflects typical factory production. It's been incredible to see how far technology has come and how fast it's moving.

By day, I’m the CEO of a global software company, so I’ve been immersed in tech for a while. I truly believe it can play a meaningful role in helping the Corvette community.

Mark, if you ever want to chat offline, I’d be more than happy to connect.

I've been researching assembly operations for years.
