Recommended source for H/L actuators with lifetime warranty

The eight year old repro headlamp actuators in my '70 began leaking. After shopping around, I selected reproduction actuators made by "CA" (Corvette America). They look great and unlike my old repro units, the vacuum elbows are the proper distance from the case (an issue with many repro units that's pointed out in the JG).

You can get them from topflightautomotive.com (CA's retail site) with a 1 year warranty. But the real deal is for about $10 more ($130/pair) Eckler's also sells these with a lifetime warranty. Not a bad way to go if you plan to keep the car for awhile. And if you're not in a hurry, wait for a free shipping sale.

Just thought I would share this since these are trouble-prone parts.

Would you trust an Ecklers lifetime warranty?

        Mark,

More likely a comment about what “lifetime” means when companies so regularly go belly up.

Agreed- a warranty is only as good as the business. Eckler's has been in business since I was a kid so I view the risk as tenable.
