2004 Brickyard 400 Indy Pace Car Valuation

I ran into a friend's neighbor last night and he tells me that he owns a "brickyard 400 pace car". After further discussions, it is one of 22 white pace cars made in 2004 and it has only 6,400 miles on it. He was asking what I thought it was worth. I didn't even know these cars (of 22) even existed!!

I went to Hagearty Valuations and it doesn't show this particular set of pace cars.

Does anyone know what this car is worth or where he can go to get a true valuation? I don't think he's considering selling it yet, but just wanted to know what it's worth.

    Gerald,
here’s a little info on the 2004 pace car. Not saying it’s not one of the 22, but, since no production pace cars were built ir sold, one should pursue authentic documentation for the seller to confirm that it’s not a clone……

    here’s a brief synopsis:
“A white and blue two-tone paint treatment incorporates Americana-themed graphics, tying into Chevrolet's new "An American Revolution" marketing theme. The theme captures Chevrolet's pride and passion for innovation, and for success not only in motorsports, but also as it launches 10 new car and truck products in 20 months.

Chevrolet produced no replicas of this year's Pace Car to sell to the public, although some Pace Car diehard enthusuiasts have gone thru the trouble to recreate one of these beauties.”

        Ray,

Here's a picture I just received and the owner tells me that there is a #17 behind the rear license plate if that helps. Thanks for your response.

          Gerald,
There were only 3 official pace cars.
After the race they were given to the winner, the speedway and one was kept by GM.
The seller probably has one of the 44 parade cars (22 white & 22 blue)

Interesting how varied the paint scheme was for these few cars......https://pacecarregistry.com/2004festival.htm

                Ray,

Would you have a general idea as to the increase in value over "the Commemorative" category on Hagearty?

                Thanks
