    1972 Stingray fender emblem

We want to replace the passenger side 4 pin Stingray fender emblem, the 72 AIM, UPC 11, Sheet A14 calls out #3956216.
We have Googled that GM part number seeking a NOS 1972 Stingray fender emblem, and get eBay results. However the emblem we received is a 3 pin see photo of the Genuine GM boxes stamped #3956216. My research shows the the 3 pin emblems are for 74-76, is it possible that 3 pin and 4 pin emblems have the same GM part number?

1953-1982 Corvettes Parts and Illustrations Bood lists 3956216 as 1969-1976 Stingray emblem - may/may not be a production part likely what you have is a service replacement.

FWIW Corvette Central's emblem has 4 pins.

Your response is appreciated. We have found a correct 4 pin 69 -73 emblem. I believe there was an intended change to 3 pin for 74-76. Another thing the 74-76 emblems the finish is different from 4 pin 69-72 emblems. Curious if the 74 TI&JG addresses the 3 pin emblem?
