    Judging days for National Convention

Sorry for the delay getting these out. I am still receiving registrations. Here are the judging days for each division. At this point they will not change. Although there are 8 67 Cars, which could be done in 1 day, I have set Saturday for any additional 67 cars that may be registered. Dan Young and I will make a decision on the 8 if that is all that end up in that division.

    Tuesday. All Bowtie/Cross Flag/Star cars (9)
    Wednesday. 53-55 (3), 58-60 (5), 63-64 (4), 66 (6), 67 (8), 70-72 (5), 73-77 (2), 78-82 (2), 97-03 (5), 05-07 (4)
    Thursday. 56-57 (2), 61-62 (At this time there are 0), 65 (4), 67 (0), 68-69 (3), 84-96 (5), 04 (3), All Concours (2)

At this point we will set this schedule. The 97-04 class has already been broken into 2 days. If we break up 67 or get 1 additional car, Dan Young and I will divide the class and advise as to which cars will go each day.

See you all in Las Vegas!!

I'm considering going to Vegas for the show (1st timer). Wont be showing a car and cant stay all 6 days...any recommendations on the best days to be there to see the cars? I'm assuming middle days would be best? Have an early C3 if that makes any difference. TIA for your assistance.

Renzo, I would want to see the year car that I own being judged. You can even request to be an Observer Judge if you get to the event early in the day. You can see what day that is in the first post above.. For sure, it is Wednesday or Thursday.. Tuesday is the other judging day, for the original cars (Bowtie judging). Be sure to register so you get a name tag, and can participate in Advanced Judging School, and sit into a Technical Session, or meeting with the Chief Engineers if you so choose.. The whole schedule is in the current Driveline, or can be found elsewhere on this website. Look under Services above, Coming Events. You'll have a great time..

From the above numbers, there are 72 cars being judged. Can we assume there will be 8-10 more added before close of registration? Is 80-ish cars typical for a national meet?

I think 8-10 more cars is accurate, but wouldn't 20 be great. I just added 3 this morning.
As for what is typical for car counts, I think 80 cars is a great turn out. Would we like more, absolutely!!

After a slow 4 months of registrations, the last month and a half has been encouraging on the car count and the distribution of the classes looks good. Another 10 days for registration to go. Get your registrations in ASAP.

I agree with Mike! This is a great turnout considering where we were just a few months ago. If you are thinking of registering your car, we are not hitting any limits in any division. Your car will be judged. We have already split up the 67 and C5 cars into two days. If we hit 8 or more cars in another division I'll split that division up also.

On another note, we will be judging 73-77 and 78-82 as separate divisions. This will increase the amount of available judging positions.

Filling my friend Tom Barr's shoes is impossible, I know. I do love the C4s and will do my best to follow Tom's example. I look forward to working with and getting to know the team.
