    Patrick,

If you look at the old thread I link to in my previous post in this thread you’ll see that for GM 9420621, GM changed from acorn to speed nut with no change in GM part number. So these things can happen.

      Correct.
But he's looking for the acorn nut, not the speed nut.
What works and what's correct are two different things.

Also. AMK Products has NOS fasteners. just type the GM part number to see if they have it. Correct finishes and head markings.
        They are a great resource.

Take a look at these from AMK - they are not the same over-sized 15357 PAL nuts referenced above. The website says discontinued, but it appears they are selling off stock. They seem smaller than the #8s above.

If you look close, you can see the PAL stamping on those AMK nuts.

I've ordered a couple of different ones from different vendors and none have fit so far... they are all too big. I will try the AMK site and see if that is any good, as they are not too much so worth a shot. It's surprising how these particular items are not available.

                Bill,

I love buying from AMK, which I have done once or twice a year for the past 15 years. The only minor annoyance is they have a $30 minimum, not counting $10 shipping. So the least expensive order will cost you $40. If you do go ahead, choose the 2-3 days Priority shipping, which is the same cost as non-priority.
