    GF-90 62 silver fuel filter

20250620_153207.jpg 20250620_153227.jpg Just received a GF-90 Silver fuel filter from Corvette Central. Says "Correct", but not like an older one on the left. Catalog shows silver painted but new one is just bare metal. And, shorter than old one, diameter is less, and worst is the threads do not match the brass fittings we are used to using when completing a fuel line. Seems like SAE vs. a pipe thread. Called them and they admitted current one is wrong after I sent them my pictures. Says they will look into it.
I also use this silver filter for muscle car projects, etc., just a great look in the engine compartment.
So for now check when buying this filter from any supplier.
    Hope this is helpful.

    Tks. Doug

Appears the one on left is the old style repop, notice the lines in the fitting nuts - that was an old problem before vendors made a change to make NCRS happy.

Correct, although the new one is just way wrong unless I'm missing something.
      Tks. Doug

Yes. My point was, see my pics, the old one on the left is correct, the new one from Corvette Central on the right is bare metal, shorter, less diameter, and fitting threads are not correct for the brass fittings we use.

The one on the right is the inferior first reproduction that was manufactured after Delco stopped offering the unpainted service part. In addition to it being too short, the font is incorrect. Notice the letter “G” and the numeral “9”. Also the notches on the nuts which were present on the service part, not the production filters. The one pictured on the left will not receive point deductions from knowledgeable judges.
