74 BB Alternator Pulley Part Numbers - Manual Steering/C60

Not to beat a dead horse - but one more question guys.

Thanks to help on the board I now know that I need a different alternator pulley for my manual steering AC equipped car. I am finding 2 different part numbers (GM parts book). Trying to find the closest correct one for my car. Two part numbers from GM parts books for 73-74 manual steering BB cars with AC:

    3844100
    3846180

1970831 (this part number was referenced on another corvette forum - not sure where it came from or even if its legit).

Any difference on these alternator pulleys?

    Thanks again,
    Vic

    Victor,
3846180 is correct for a '74 BB with manual steering.

Yes, GM #3846180 was the original alternator pulley for 1974 with C-60 and without N-40. However, the 3864180 was discontinued by GM in July, 1981 and replaced by the GM #3844100.

So this discussion developed around the 1974 LS4 with and without power steering. Do the same part numbers hold true for 1973 LS4s? As well as the different machined pulleys for the alternator mounting?

Referencing the January 1975 Corvette Parts Catalog and the 73 and 74 AIMs, the part numbers are the same for both years. The part no. for LS4s with power steering and AC is 3883978 and the part no. for LS4s with AC and no power steering is 3846180.
