What shocking news! Tom was a great leader, a great mentor and a great friend. I had talked with him recently and he was so chipper and upbeat!
He really gave me a chance to join the C4 Judging Team, and I will forever be grateful!
Condolences to Linda and the family!

Words cannot express my sadness in learning of the passing of Tom Barr. I'm grateful that he welcomed me to the C4 Team a number of years ago. His knowledge was top notch but, to me, his most compelling qualities were his kindness and welcoming demeanor. These qualities set the tone for the entire C4 Team, in my opinion. He will be missed beyond measure.
My sincerest condolences to Linda and the entire Barr Family.
See you on the other side, Mr. Barr!- Top

I was so sorry to hear of Tom’s passing. I knew he was in quite a fight. Really wasn’t involved with Tom until a few years ago. But let me tell you the man was so knowledgeable when it came to C4 corvettes. He also was a great commentator and very fair in judging. Tom you will truly be missed. They will be awfully large shoes to fill. May God bless you and your family at this time.- Top

I too am at a loss for words.I have been keeping track of Tom since his surgery and he seemed to be on the mend.
Tom was way more than a friend , he was a mentor and always was willing to give great advise . He put together a great C4 team which I was privleged to judge on .He had great insight on the NCRS and its history
Tom's leadership taught us to always be welcoming and be helpful to the car owners that we judged .
His frienship and conversations will be missed.
Rest in peace my friend and condolences to Linda and the family.

Saddened to hear of the passing of one of the good guys. Tom took an old guy in 2009, with zero judging points and brought him into the C4 Team (Me). His leadership was without question the best. He always had the C4 team as his baby. He took care of all of us and taught us how to be a judge and a person. I will miss his presence at the Meets and his soothing comments when we missed something. He was without doubt one, if not the best team leader NCRS was privileged to have in the group of Team Leaders. He will be sorely missed. Condolences to Linda and the family of Tom.PAT, Central New Jersey and Florida Chapters👍 2- Top

Rest in Peace Tom. Condolences to your Family and Loved Ones.
Tom was very instrumental in helping me get my 62 Vette back from a terrible Bankruptcy situation with Corvette Restoration Arizona in Tempe back in 2010. And finding a well-respected Tucson Vette Restorer to finish the job. You were an Honest and Reputable man.

Tom was the consumate Team Leader and NCRS Ambasador. Everyone that ever had dealings with Tom learned what "come for the cars, stay for the friends" meant.Administrator
