I’m writing to share some heartbreaking news. Tom Barr passed away peacefully from heart failure early this morning. Tom was the C4 National Team Leader for the past 20 years. He not only did his best for the owners, but also inspired excellence in his team. His legacy will be deeply missed by all. In this time of sorrow, please respect Linda’s wishes for privacy. You can send her cards, but please avoid calling her. Tom’s NCRS Family will miss him dearly. May he rest in peace and may God bless Linda and the family.

I am truly saddened by this news. Having spoken to Tom a few days ago, I was sure we would all spend some Corvette time with him soon.
I will never forget my first interaction with him. Although I had never spoken to Tom prior to becoming the 63-64 Team leader, several years ago, while I was at my first event in Oregon as Team Leader he came and set up his C4 Team at my table with me. He was a calming presence as I sent sheets in only to have them bounced back for, no signature, open boxes, missing notes to the owner. I may have set a record for sheets coming back to a Team Leader that day. But the great conversation and reassurance he showed me will never be forgotten. A true gentleman and friend.
RIP

Tom Barr was the very 1st person I met when I went to a PTSC picnic in 1998. This was before I had a Corvette.
He was so welcoming, friendly; always with a smile on his face
Last time I spoke with him on the phone was when his email got physed and I called him to see if anything was wrong...
He said to me, "Mark, you're about the 10th person who has called me today about this..."
Always Tom...even though he had been hacked...he was unphased by it and we had a very nice chat catching up on things...
My sincerest condolences to Linda and the family.
RIP, Tom...you were a great NCRS guy and made a wonderful first-time, positive impression on me !thx,

This is truly sad news. Tom was a friend, a great team lead (did my PV in Winchester Canal), a true leader for us in the PTSC and just an all around good guy. Always a smile and something good to say. My thoughts go out to Linda. He will be missed.Regards,

It is truly a sad day for the Southern Arizona Chapter. We've lost a great leader and mentor and I lost a good friend. May he rest in eternal peace.

Sad Day. Tom rest in peace.
A first rate Team Lead. Tom always gave his team a heads-up as to cars and judging assignments.
I was very much looking forward to our upcoming Springfield Regional - now a big empty spot.
Condolences to Linda and family.
