I received a quote from NCM this week for American Modern Insurance. They quoted $9/year for two corvettes for unlimited PIP coverage in Michigan. I questioned them and they verified it was accurate. I've been paying $185/year for PIP with Hagerty. What's the catch? Is this really accurate?

Anybody else get a similar quote?

Always identify what State you are in, rather than throw it out to the forum. Each State has their own rates. You cannot compare apples to oranges!!!!!!!

I believe even the ZIP code makes a difference even within the same state. I am sure the rates are different for me living in the Chicago suburbs, than for someone living in a small town in southern Illinois.

💯 %. Every county is different. We just received our renewal from American Modern and surprisingly it didn’t change from last year.

PIP (and uninsured motorist) are mostly redundant if you and your passengers have health insurance or Medicare. We don't have PIP or UIM but also avoid carrying passengers without their own health insurance. It's baffling why there's so much overlap with these coverages (intentional?).

I'm not an insurance expert so make your own informed decisions.
