    Timing

    Trying ti time 6 cylinder. How do I rotate engine? Is there a tool for that?

    I time our 54 vet by. hooking a remote starter switch to the starter solenoid, go around to the drivers side and look for the timing marks on the flywheel thru the opening in the block( or bell housing-- cant remember which) then click the starter switch till you see the markings. a mid 50's motor manual will have illustrations. your Napa store or snap on has the remote switches. mike
