I bought a correct tinted and date coded rear window for my 73 coupe. I intend to have a professional glass installer install it. I'm worried that they'll install it in a way that won't pass NCRS muster. Do I need to source some weatherstrip material ahead of time? Any advice?

Thanks, Russ. I've since found that Zip sells an installation kit with butyl tape and some other bits, including instructions. I may try it myself if the instruction are clear.73 Coupe, L-48, auto, Body Build Date: 31 May 1973

Has anyone tried something similar with a plastic convertible window? Is there a way to remove the plastic window to work on yellow staining and scratches? I have already removed about 95% of the scratches from mine but the yellowing really didn’t change much. I have heard there is a hydrogen peroxide mix that can be used but no way will I try that with the window still in the top. I’m too afraid of discoloring the black top.
I hope it was ok to piggyback on this thread. If not, I apologize.
Good luck David!- Top
