Correct AC Delco battery for 2008 Base Model

My local Chevy dealer has AC Delco 85G listed as the replacement for the car. Would like to buy the correct battery for judging purposes when 2008s become eligible.

The ACDelco 85G is the correct current replacement battery and will likely garner you the most points of any currently available battery.

I do not know the configuration of the PRODUCTION battery but it's a moot point. All of the original, assembly line batteries, if they were ever available in SERVICE, have long since gone to "battery heaven". I know of no reproduction of these batteries.

Remarkably the dealer price is cheaper than O’Reilly. $154 vs $239. Don’t see them advertised anywhere else.
