C1 trunk will not open using the key.

Can someone please tell me how to get the trunk to open. Has been opening fine however now it failed to open. Makes a clicking sound but will not open.

What iteration of C1 are we considering? 61-62 is different than 56-60.

have somebody push down on the trunk lid vigorously , then you rotate the key clockwise and hope it opens. good luck, mike. PS: welcome to the club.

In addition to "down", you might have someone push trunk lid forward. A bit lower than where key goes in.

Gary, this worked years ago (decades) for me when putting my '57 back together after a repaint. Good Luck! Steve
