Dimensions of white styrofoam blocks in coupe?

My initial problem is the white styrofoam blocks that GM stuffed in the far back corners of a coupe interior. I suppose for noise suppression, and maybe also to keep the far outboard tabs of the rear carpet piece from disappearing into the corner caverns.

Reverend, For the life of me, I thought this small piece of foam was one the fell off and then later found in the rear compartment area ....? My mistake! This leads me now to a new question as to exactly where this piece was factory installed? Let me look in the '71 to see if these blocks are easily accessible to gather the correct info!

Here are photos of my originally owned '71 coupe (built January 1971) that shows the "white / light gray" styrofoam blocks in the rear compartment. In my coupe these are visible due to the vertical rear compartment carpet being short and exposing the upper and outer ends of the rear compartment. The RH side shows what looks like a 90 degree block and the LH side shows what looks like two or three separate pieces that are glue on. Please note that these are not the black / dark gray foam pieces in the '71 AIM, shown in UPC 1, Sheet B9, item #12, part #3956231 . . . .
