Coupe Metal Extension Cap

On a coupe, door opening area, is the metal extension cap painted the body color with black interior. In other words if the car is black and the interior is black is it painted body color. It is not mention in the 7th edition. I know if the exterior is red the interior is black it is painted half and half, etc.
