Installing door panel issue on my 66 coupe.

Just cannot get it right.I have had this on and off at least 8-9 times....Oh yea. I am good at it now.
So the panel is an original panel I believe but not off this car. I had to cut out for the window crank. No big deal. I cannot get a tight fit like the right side....see pictures attached.I did not have to replace the right side as that panel was good. There is something about this panel that is not letting me make get a tight fit like the passenger side. It is almost like the panel is set too low or bent incorrectly.I am more then happy for any suggestions.I think I am going to have to find another panel. Can someone confirm also if the panel I am trying to install is a repro or original?

    John,

The panel does not look bad from what I can see. I have two original door panel '67 coupes and one drivers side fit is nice and snug and the other car drivers side has a bigger gap than yours. The quality control from 1966 was not like what you'd see on a Lexus today, far from it. The line wanted to get it out the door and hope the customer did not complain. I'll let others post, but it's "acceptable" from what I can see, and you have the benefit of an original panel.
