What is best type of grease for 1964 Corvette Coupe? and how often should fittings be greased?

You can't beat good ol' Red and Tacky by Lucas. As to how often, a lot depends of what type of weather you're driving in and how many miles per year. If your C2 is a weekend cruiser, once every couple of years should be fine. Just keep your eyes on the rubber boots...if they're loosing their "plumpness", give the a squirt or two.

Just about any auto parts store product that says for chassis and/or wheel bearings will be fine, and you don't need a premium priced "synthetic" product.

Your 1963 Corvette Shop Manual and 1964 Corvette Supplement have recommended maintenance intervals, including chassis lubrication. Keep in mind that these are for year-round daily driving in all weather conditions. If you only drive a few hundred to a few thousand miles per year and normally in dry weather you can certainly "factor" the recommended intervals to longer intervals, especially time.
