5th star Bowtie and hard top in place

For Bowtie judged cars from 63-75 that were built with hardtop, now needs to have it mounted and have the soft top in place.
the soft top will not be judged. But it also states that if the soft top in not in place it will be marked as a failure, but it said the soft top will not be judged?

With the hard top needing to be mounted I have a question.
I have a 4-star 67 and will be going to National to display it and get the 5th star.
I assume I do not need to mount the hard top as it is a display only not judged?

Dean, that would make sense to have it displayed with the original soft top as that is the way it was judged in French Lick. That soft top was awesome and it was my pleasure to judge your car on 3 occasions. Looking forward to seeing you again.

Thanks for the kind words on the 67. You and your crew have been great to have as judges on it.
Next time to see it will be back at French Lick in 2027 for the 5th star.
The next two are just too far to go to with the time It takes to travel out and back.

I'm planning on adding my first Duntov plaque to my 1972's award at that 2027 event as well.
