    Board Meeting on March 20,2025

Mike has sent out a notice of the March 20 board meeting and it would be a Zoom meeting. Will the link be sent to the members so we can tune in?

    Hi Wes,
We hold these Board meetings via Zoom when we can to avoid the cost of everyone traveling to a common location to meet. The Zoom link will only be provided to the Board members and the employees invited to the meeting. I'm sorry for any confusion in the meeting announcement, but the NCRS By-laws require that we announce this meeting at least 30 days in advance.

      Do I have this right?

The by-laws require notice to the membership detailing a meeting that the membership can not attend?

What is the purpose of that?

Terry: as I recall, a notice required for posting board meetings was instituted about 20 years ago (before Zoom-- u remember when we were full of piss and vinegar). it was done so that , when the board met during the national convention or the florida regionals, members could attend the board meeting (excluding the portion at the end of the meeting where salaries were discussed) . I suspect if the Zoom meetings were open to the general membership nowadays that very little would get done. hope your sorry ass is doing well. mike

I'm assume you are referring to viewer interjections. There is an option with Zoom to mute all viewers and disable the viewer's ability to unmute. I'd be very interested in viewing as was allowed a year or so ago.

              Hi Terry,

After considering our options, we have decided to record the March 20 Board meeting and make that recording available to the membership following the meeting. That way members can view the meeting at a time that is convenient for them. Hope that works for you.

Also hope you are feeling well.

              Mike

Thank you Mike, both for making the meeting available to the membership and your good wishes.

All the best to you as well.
                Terry

The meeting possibly might be more factual if it was shown live? Viewing at a later time people might think edits were made.
